Wade Schell has been active as a volunteer in the Boy Scouts of America since 2004 when his stepson entered the Cub Scout program. Wade currently works with the youth of Troop 282 and Venture Crew 282, both in Pleasant Hill, CA as an adult leader and mentor. He is very involved at the Council level as well, serving as a staff member and Course Director on several adult leader and youth leadership training courses. He attended the 100th Anniversary National Boy Scout Jamboree in the summer of 2010 at Fort AP Hill, Virginia where he served as a staff member at the bicycle motocross track. He was recently awarded the District Award of Merit for his service within his district. Wade feels that by giving back to the community in this way helps nurture and grow today’s youth into tomorrow’s leaders.
