COGENERATION FACILITY

Corey Delta provides year-round maintenance services for this coke and coal burning facility with an average crew size of eight people, including pipefitters, welders, millwrights and ironworkers.

Code work is also performed on boiler tubes and equipment on an “as-needed” basis utilizing ASME certified welders.

In addition to maintaining the facility, Corey Delta provides the planning and execution of the annual plant shutdown.

 

BIOMASS POWER PLANT

An offsite fire resulted in the destruction of the fuel handling system. This project consisted of the following:

  • Replacement of all fuel handling equipment and conveyor components damaged by fire.
  • Installed approximately 6,300 L.F. of 3 ply belting.
  • Installation of Mars Metal Detection Unit and Walker Cross-Belt Magnet.
  • Reconditioning of radar disc screen, lamb hammer hog, fuel distribution tripper car and motor/gearboxes.
  • Supervision of electrical and painting subcontractors.

This project was completed ahead of schedule and the project cost was under budget.

 

COGENERATION FACILITY

Corey Delta has responded to numerous emergency situations in addition to performing scheduled maintenance services totaling 5,000 man-hours, which included the following:

  • 3” Embed tube replacement with wall thickness of 3/4.”
  • Repaired and replaced multi-clone tubes.
  • Fabrication and installation of wood chute in the fuel yard.
  • Repaired economizer and superheater tubes.
  • Installation of piping for the boiler feed water system.
  • Installation of heat exchanger.
  • Repairs to electrostatic precipitator.
  • Structural Steel platform and pipe support fabrication and installation.

 

POWER FACILITY MAINTENANCE

Corey Delta performs scheduled maintenance services and planned outages which include the following:

  • Removal and replacement of radar disc screen in fuel yard.
  • Installation of new stainless steel liner in meyering bin.
  • Replacement of expansion joints.
  • Maintenance repairs to fuel feed conveyors and drag conveyors.
  • Provide maintenance services under direction of client.
